Utah Wynn's...

The Utah Utes defeated the Cal Bears Wednesday night in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl 37-27 Wednesday Night at Qualcomm Stadium, but thats not what i want to get into...

As you may or may not know, Utah started True Freshmen Jordan Wynn who happens to be from my hometown of Oceanside, CA. Wynn won two CIF San Diego Section Championships as well as one Div. II State Championship in 2007. I was more so proud that my area was getting so much love from ESPN as well as the performance of the young Ute QB Wynn, going 3-2 as the Utes starter this season.

Its just nice to see positive things coming out of our area. I was privileged to see Wynn play when he was in High School as they played my younger brother's (Ashston) High School. (Carlsbad Lancers). Wynn didn't look extra special, being 6-2 and a scrawny 170 or so, but the man really knows how to win. Which he did, as he led his Oceanside High School Pirates to the State Championship as i had earlier mentioned.

If i had something to Jordan I would say

"Keep doing what your doing, and do it in a positive way. Keep pushing forward!"

Jordan I wish you nothing but the best. It was definitely a delight to see a True Freshmen put on an offensive display like that throwing for 300+ yards and 3 TD's.

Im from the "O" "O-side" "Oceanside" Our Town, my Town, My Home, The 760!

  1. I think its great that he's starting as a true freshman. You know he is aiming for the NFL. I wish him the best of luck. And to think he was in my class. :0
